A good friend of mine introduced me to
Jerry, and when I saw Jerry's betta paintings, I knew right there and then
I had to feature them on Bettatalk.
Jerry's fascination for bettas sprung years ago
when he started keeping and breeding them. His love of bettas combined with his love for arts yielded the first Beautiful Warrior paintings. For
the last 20 years, Jerry has been painting as well as carving bettas.
Jerry has carved many trophies for the IBC show circuit and IBC
conventions. As you see,
Jerry is an established artist for the betta world, and has been at it for a while :).
The beauty of our Betta Splendens
("Beautiful Warriors") is immortalize forever. Flowing finnage,
vibrant coloration, striking pattern and bad attitude :), all the
traits we love so much about bettas are captured in each of Jerry's
paintings. I asked him if he would be willing to immortalize some of my
coolest strains, and he gracefully rolled up his sleeves and went right to
work :). I immediately fell in love with the Dreamcatcher he painted, as
well as the Apache male. So I talked to Jerry about painting some
beautiful bettas for you guys. We sat down and discussed the best way to
go about this and how we could keep the prices so reasonable that all of
you would be able to afford one or more nice betta paintings. We devised
several options and price ranges for you:

1 - S I N G L E B E T T
A P A I N T I N G S |

Beautiful original
artwork made with pastels, acrylics and colored pencils on a 6.5 X 5 inches acid free card stock.
Pick from a large collection of strains.
Each is hand painted upon your order and signed by artist. Order
more than one and save on shipping. Add to your collection at any
time. A nice way to decorate your fishroom walls, or display your
artwork above your betta jar at home, or even decorate your desk at
work.

These lovely betta paintings can be yours
for the neurotic ;) price of only $40 each. Shipping via priority
mail will be $5. You can have multiple artworks mailed to you for
the same $5 fee. Two paintings, nicely spaced on a wall above a
table can look quite nice in deed :).

2 - D U O O
F B E T T A S
P A I N T I N G S |
|
|
Depicting two males
displaying for each other, these 8.5 X 11 paintings are larger than
above single betta paintings. You can pick any two strains pictured
above and Jerry will paint them displaying for each other (and for
you :) ). As you see, the combinations and possibilities are
near endless! Each of these paintings is made specifically for you
upon order and signed by the artist. This is what the end result may
look like (should you pick a blue halfmoon male displaying for a
cardinal red male).

These larger
'duo of betta' betta paintings can be yours for the very reasonable
price of only $60 each. Shipping via priority mail will be $5. You
can have more than one 'duo of betta' mailed to you for the same $5
fee.

Feedback
from a customer:
Dear
Faith:
I wanted to make it a point to write and tell you
how much I ~love~ the Betta Painting that I
ordered in the "Betta Art" section!
I think it's amazing, the way Jerry was able to
"capture" my fish, and paint him;
everyone "recognizes" who it is! I
treasure the painting, and think that other Betta
lovers would probably adore these paintings as
well.
Take Care,
Holly

Immortalize your VERY
OWN betta by having Jerry paint it for you!! (Yes, he will do that).
Provide a photo of your favorite betta via email and it will be
executed with pastels, acrylics and colored pencils on a 6.5 X 5 inches acid free card stock. For the sake of Jerry's
sanity, all bettas will be portrayed against a solid background
similar to above paintings.
These custom betta
paintings can be yours for the very reasonable price of only $60
each. Shipping via priority mail will be $5. You can have more than
one mailed to you for the same $5 fee.
Note: Remember,
this is ART. Do not expect the original painting to look exactly
like your photo, if it did, you might as well frame your photo and
save yourself the $60 LOL. |
| Got
both the pictures and the Raku - LOVE THEM ALL - will buy
frames for the pictures and am having a hard time deciding
where to put the Raku Betta - so right now it is next to my
two Betta tanks (2 Eclipse Explorer System 3 with 1 Betta in
each - one fish to one tank). Very beautiful work and I
will recommend it anyone I know interested in fish!
Thanks again.
