A bunch of us converge towards "AMAZON", a very unique tropical restaurant located on Ventura boulevard in Sherman Oaks. The nice people at the restaurant are holding a table just for us, which fills up in less time than it took me to type this ! Every single seat is now hosting a happy LABS member :), and what surprises me is that it so happens that we have just enough chairs for everyone, not one more and not one less.

The restaurant is very  exotic looking with its trees, waterfall, birds, etc... We are lost in the jungle! 

Well, not quite, because we have our friends to help us find the way out of betta problems, questions, confusion. Members help members, everyone is happily talking betta at every corner of the table.

A breeder male with torn fin gets a medical examination and is deemed to be breedable again soon :).

Meanwhile, we eat succulent dishes and (at least a few of us) sip on a narly tropical blended drink. Careful! Don't sip on that betta jar!

This luncheon was a lot of fun but I also think quite a few of us came out with solid tips to help us in our fishroom tomorrow. Basically we hit two parrots with one stone hehehehe.

Just before leaving, we take a few photos for posterity (see below), causing quite a ruckus in the otherwise pretty quiet restaurant. People wonder who we are. Such an eclectic bunch and such blubber mouths! :) One can never talk bettas enough!

As members leave, a few get some used supplies to help them build their fishroom set-up, while a few others get some breeding pairs and free cultures.
