have been working with this line for several years now. Black splash
bettas are truly gorgeous, with their dark blotches of black color
contrasting against the flesh colored background. Many display a
piebald feature, although not all.
Females may be marbled or solid black. This is a very well established line so fry tend to marble faster than most. Although some may remain solid, or turn into BFs (oh what a nice problem to have LOL) , most marble beautifully. Through outcrosses I have been able to improve the finnage and recent spawns have produced some very crisp delta tail which show me I am on the right track. True Halfmoon marbles do not exist, but working with good delta may produce some one of these days :). High contrast marbles are one of my favorites. They look striking, are easy to work with, usually easy to breed, and produce large spawns. I highly recommend this strain for breeders of all levels. |
